Attach Mapquest

Please help!
I'm currently using AutoCad LT 2006. I'm trying to bring in a map from mapquest, I can import/attach the map using jpg or pdf format but I want to try other method. I hear that you can trace in a map into AutoCad and the map will show in your drawing with single line and text and it will alow you to add/delete a line or text. The map will look like a regular drawing that you create from a single line. Can you show me how to do it? Thank you

Trace means to manually draw over "something". You draw in autocad
using Line, Pline, Arc, Circle and more.

What kind of help exactly are you seeking: How to draw in autocad? Or
are you wnting to buy raster to vector software for conversion.

I wasn't sure that is how it can be done b/c it's a lot of work to manually draw over the map. I hope there is a better way to bring the map in and do some "magic" work to convert it to a regular line and text and don't have to manually draw it again, and that is the help that I'm looking for. I only run into this problem one in awhile and I can't spend more money to buy another software. Thank you for your help, and if you know a better way to do it, please let me know.
