Arrowheads Disappear

Why do my arrowheads on dimensions disappear on my dimensions at times? I can ussually fix it by selecting a dimension then going to its properties and changing the type of arrowhead. Also if I switch to another layer at times I will only see the arrowheads and not the dimensions. It almost seems like the arrowheads and the rest of the dimension would be on a diffent layer, but if I check the properties they are on the same layer.

Start a new template file where everything works just fine and is preset to
your requirements and styles and arrows and works well with no issues, then
INSERT the problem file into it and explode it. That should fix it.

My arrowheads are fine in the paper space layout and on the screen, but refuse to plot on paper. I have checked the layer and everything appears to be set correctly.

I started a new drawing and it works fine. If I insert the file that is not working will the attributes come with it?

I had that problem and managed to fix it by changing the plot style table under the plot devices tab (just before you plot) which solved it. I'm sure this isnt the way the more experienced CAD user would resolve the issue, but it worked for me!
