Application has stopped working ntdll.dll

Hi I have AutoCAD LT 2012 and it crashes every time I run it.

The splash screen appears and it says initializing, then it gives me a message "AutoCAD LT Application has stopped working"

I have reinstalled AutoCAD, and then installed the SP2 update but still get the same issue.

When I look in the application event log it says:

Faulting application name: acadlt.exe, version: 24.2.205.0, time stamp: 0x4f9643f4
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.18247, time stamp: 0x521eaf24
Exception code: 0xc0000374
Fault offset: 0x00000000000c4102
Faulting process id: 0xc80
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT 2012 - English\acadlt.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll'

I'm using Win7 64-bit, video card Radeon HD 6570

Is there any way to resolve this?

Thanks

Hi when I got to step 6 it gives the message "can not set DEP attributes on 64-bit executables", and some of the steps were a bit laughable (i.e. who still uses an IDE cable these days?)

Though I was able to get the software working, I ended up reinstalling windows
