This is just a tip I want to share with you.
The layer for annotation disappeared although it was thawed and turned on for both model space and paper space..
The viewport was frozen BUT, I discovered if you unlock the viewport and change the scale of the viewport AND THEN change it back to the original scale, the annotation will reappear.
I know annotations will only show up in the scale they were created (unless an alternate option is chosen). Nontheless, annotations can disappear in a locked viewport. It's probably a bug in AutoCAD LT 13, but the procedure above is an easy workaround.
