adjusting numbers

i think this may require a full autocad version, but how can i adjust numbers e.g. geographic heights/levels by a constant amount? i.e. a change of datum. thanks.

Select the entities and change their elevation - perhaps with the
Properties palette - amongst several ways of doing so.

thanks for that. we have a full version r14 which we normally use to do this, albeit with a pre-written lisp routine. the text is not actually entities but pure text. the routine recognises text which appears as numbers and can perform calculations on these numbers. lines or nodes or points which are in a 3d format can be manipulated in LT, but it's the pure text i need to work on. you can imagine we're tired of always having to switch on the one computer in the office that has r14... and then find the sentinel/dongle if it's missing! our alternative is to buy the latest full version, but if we can do that in LT 2006, there is no need for further upgrades. again, thanks.

How do you do it in R14?

Without the use of lisp to convert the string text to a number value so it
can be incremented by the desired value it can't be done in LT. One of the
trade offs for the lower priced LT version. Most likely the lisp you used on
R14 will work without modification in the full version AutoCAD 2006.
