ACADLT 2010 freezing when starting on Windows 7 Professional

Need help

Have upgraded to new computer Windows 7 64 bit OS. Tried to install AutoCAD LT 2010 but when trying to open the program a grey AutoCAD LT 2010 empty window appears and just hangs. Have to task manage remove it. Ony cad viewer on this computer previously but all removed. Have installed the AutoCAD LT 2010 update 2 but doesnt help.
