Acad LT (Layer State) and ACAD full Version (Layer Manager)

Hello!

This one goes out to Offices that use Mixed ACADs

BACKGROUND:

The Office is using older 2009 version of ACAD.

Need to get a new Seat for 2014.

QUESTIONS

What should I be concerned about if ACAD LT 2014 were purchased and used with the older FULLER VERSIONS?

The main issue that comes to mind is LAYERSTATE    AND     LAYER MANAGER.

Will the layers freeze/thaw what-have-you work out?  Or will eac of the commands only work for each respective version  LT vs  FULL?

OR do they play along nicely enough that this isn't an issue... that what the LMAN in Full version saves be the same as the LT's  LAYERSTATE COMMAND?

(search pulled this, but I'm not sure if it still applies)

Thanks in Advance!!!

Do yourself a bug favor: download the 2014 trials (LT and/or AutoCAD) and test these and other mission critical items for yourself, in house.

In practice it works fine but only you can determine if it all works best with your files and your needs/requirements.

Thanks Dean!

I didn't get a chance to do a trial verison.  The owner decided to just go ahead and purchase it.

SOLUTION:  Both verisons of acad recognize Layer State and Layer Manager
