2008 LT problems

I loaded the 2008 lt upgrade and upon loading receive and error message
concerning the loading of profiles.
Then once loaded, I can't access the tool catalogues. I receive another
error message about a missing required module.
I was on the phone with acad tech for over an hour yesterday going over my
system to no avail.
Any suggestions before I return the item?
