Fixing Autosave

I noticed that my .bak files are no longer appearing in the folder where my active drawings is at.  I looked under options for the location it is saving my Autosave/.BAK files and found it is saving it to at C:\User\Name\appdata\local\temp\  This folder is not accessible without resetting a bunch my computer settings.  Does anyone know what to type in for the path to have the autosave/.BAK saved in the current/active file folder?  IE the path will change depending on which drawings files you open.

Autosave (.sv$) and backup (.bak) files are not saved in the same place.  BAK files are saved in the directory the .dwg file is located and the Autosave is saved where specified in the search path in options.  Maybe you have your backup files turned off. Check the variable ISAVEBAK it should be set to 1 to save backup files.
