Did it used to work and now doesn't?
Or is this a first install and start?
Did you remember to restart Windows?

Hello

Welcome to the Autodesk/AutoCAD Forums !

Q1) Which Windows exactly : Win Seven, Win 8.0, Win 8.1 ?

Q2) 32 or 64 bits ?

Q3) Have you on the same PC an other ACAD running ? --> If YES, which one ?

Q4) Which PC (HP, Dell, Lenove, etc or xxxx manufactured) ?

Q5) Have you tried to launch with Anti-Virus & Firewall disabled ?

Q6) Have you tried to launch without Network/Internet/Web ? ---> Unplug RJ45 and No Wifi !

Hello,

Thank you all for your feedback I have resolved the issue by using this link which was supplied by Jeremy Hanson from Autodesk,

http://upandready.typepad.com/up_and_ready/2014/03/autocad-2015-application-error-0xc0000142-autorun... this seemed to work.

thanks

Michael

Read the link posted above yours, it details the fix: and you'll have to do it yourself, no one else can do it for you.

i read through the fix. But still don't understand..it says rename dll file?? Rename it to what?
Message 9 of 10

Rename it to "something else", one at a time, then launch AutoCAD after each to determine the problematic dll.
Write down the old name so you can rename it back if it's not the problem DLL before you move on.

ok so i did just that and now autocad will open but is now asking me a new serial number. I already have one??
