AutoCAD 2017 LT Won't install on my Windows 7 Pro PC

LT 2017 won't install... tried several times. Please let me know what to do.

Hi @robert

 

Let's have you try and run through the steps below; 

 

 

Now that everything is cleared and removed try to run a clean install of 

 

I would then recommend trying to run the install. If you still have an issue let me know and I can have a specialist take a look at your account via a Case.

Tried your recomendation and it's still not working. Updated error mesage attached.

Looks like this is the failure point: did you manually install Visual C++ 2015 manually on your PC and restart it first?

"Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86) Failed Failure is ignored, Result=1638"

I took care of the C++ issue by re-installing and re-starting. However, installation is still failing. Please see attached for the latested error message.

Hi @robert,

 

First, instead of using the Web Installer to install the software, download the entire application then run through the installation. It appears you're only trying to install AutoCAD LT, so use the following link:

 

AutoCAD LT 2017 - 64bit

 

Once the download is complete, run through the installation process again.

Hi I cant get the free trial for autocad LT to work on my HP WIndows 10 laptop.

 

Please confirm why this is ? I have had the full auto cad version on there previously so im not sure why this is not working

Please state the issue that occurs during the installation process? Does it fail to install or it doesn't let you use the software because the trial expired? Also, post the installation log files from your temp directory by typing %temp% in the search box of the start menu.

hi,

my name is Emmanuel and i just started using your product for my civil engineering program. i tried installing the autocad 2017 but i keep getting the error message that all the features including the desk top app for autocad cannot install. i am not sure what to do
