Why do I get different Actual Design Info ....

then what I input in the Edit Design Control dialog
box. In the Ditch Control dialog box I have imput a foreslope of 3.00
for both the left and right side. In the Slope Control I have specified a Fill
type of Simple with a typical of 3.00 and a maximum of 3.00, for both the Left
and the Right side. And I have also specified a Cut type of Simple with a typical
of 1.5 and a maximum of 1.00 for each side. Once they have been processed and
viewed I will sometime get certain stations that are pinned to the end. When I
view the cross sections and see some of the sections that are "pinned" I will
enter "A" to see the Actual control parameters and see different cut info then
what was initally entered. What is the reason for this and how do I edit this to
reflect the correct data. I know the surface is rather flat where the cross
sections are in question. Again thanks for all
responses.

I forgot to mention that in the Section Sampling
Settings dialog I have a swath width of 50' for both the Right and the Left
side. When I import the daylight points into the drawing the stations in
question are exactly 50' from the alignment.

Hey Homercad;

The places where these occur correspond to the instances
of the Template exceeding the Right side slope, correct?

This is because they (the ex sections) are probably too
narrow in these areas. You can see which areas to widen by selecting the Reports
showing their stations. I'm away from a PC that has Civil Design on it to lead
you in the right direction.

Sorry.

Actually, you can't widen the sampling in a specific range - you have to
use a single swath width from beginning to end.

I always err on the over side - say using 100' left and right. I won't
bump by head on the sampling width while I'm polishing the design, and
when I've completed the design, and if I have to plot sections, I'll
back off to the minimum value based on the widest section and use that.

Um, Karl... I was talking about the Existing Section swath widths. You can
get differing widths for specific areas of the Alignment being run there,
can't you?

Did I make a mistake in talking about that portion of the existing data?
