Stumped on AECOPEN Prob

My client is using Land Desktop 2007 (as design companion). Going to File> Open does not take him to the project-based drawing dialog box. It appears to ignore him completely. Even when he types in aecopen, nothing happens. The Land Desktop profile is loaded and current. He can get to the project manager from the Project pulldown. In User preferences, "Use land desktop startup" is toggled on.

I also thought that the dialog box might have gone off-screen since they are dual monitor users. This is not the case, since he can continue to use other functions. Also the Alt-Spc-M trick did not yield any stray dialogs.

We did a complete uninstall-reinstall and service pack install. I'm STUMPED!

Help!

Make sure the FILE pull down menu is loaded from LDT and not generic AutoCAD.

In LDD 2004, there are some file management options under PROJECTS-USER
PREFERENCES that control the project based dialogs.
See if you have some toggles there in 2007
