Reset Current Tag Number

Does anybody know how to reset the current tag number to one?

In the Labels Settings dialog I've tried simply changing the number but it always goes back to what it was prior to changing it.

Thanks
Brad

I have not done a lot with tags but, if you cannot set the tag number back
then the tags exist even if they are not displayed.

Have you tried starting the process in a blank dwg.

Did you try running the Delete Label command on the linework that was
tagged?

Thanks. Delete Labels and selecting the lines and curves seems to have worked.

I made the mistake of simply erasing labels when I was experimenting with the labeling process.

the old addage of...

'if you create it with a command then delete it with the same command'
really applies to labels...
