profile labeling

our horizontal scale is set to 1"=40'
When the labels come in for manholes in our profiles, they come in by
default, 40 feet above the rim. Is there any way to change the offset for
the label to come in? That's alot of labels to move manually.

I suspect you did not use "Restore Text Areas" prior to labeling.

I suspect I've never even heard of that. I need to know where to set and/or
change the default offsets for manhole labeling within profiles...

It is on the same drop down when you plot finish profile. What this means
is that someone previously labeled the profile
and it records this location. When re-labeling it tries not to use the same
space. (Beats the hell out of me!)

Hi Robert

 

I like my structure label , with in reason, at the
save elevation on the profile. So, I move one set to the desired elevation on
the profile, copy the Y corrdinate to the clipboard, isolates the text layer,
right click , properties and paste the Y coordinate in
