My problem is another, but similar manner. When I try to plot a drawing into pdf that has a large image Xref to it, it crashes and I get, FATAL ERROR: Out of memory-shutting down. I know that I am not out of memory, I have almost 1GB!! I am using LDDT 2005 and Acrobat 6.0 Standard. Has anyone else had this problem, anyone have a solution?

Simply delete the file:
C:\programs files\adobe\acrobat 6.0\pdfmaker\autocad\2000i\pdfmacad.arx

You can control/change all of your pdf options in a pc3 file.

The solution can be found on Adobe's website - document 329329. The solution is:

Modify the AutoCAD support - file search path.
Change the AutoCAD support file search path so that the AutoCAD Support folder is listed first:

1. Choose Tools > Options, and click the Files tab.
2. Expand Support File Search Path , and select the path that lists the AutoCAD Support folder at the end.
3. Click the Move Up button until the path is listed first.

Other solutions are in the Adobe support document #329329,;however this one worked for us.
