no dialogue box shown up

No dialogue box shown up when I right click mouse to select an alignment.
The command line shows like the following after right click.
"Select Alignment:
Enter Alignment name:
Enter Alignment number:"
My LDD is 2005, and today I just installed a 2006 Civil 3D.
Any suggestion and help?
( I won't ask to reinstall the programs for a couple of days, another IT person help to install them)

If you read the "Readme" file on the installation CD (or DVD) you may get
instructions to run a "repair installation" on all previous installations
from AutoDesk.

Type FILEDIA and make sure it's set to 1. Also make sure CMDDIA is set to 1 as well.

Thank you, Brian.
It works exactly as your setting. And saved a lot of time.
