Mtext dialog box

Hi all,

When editing mtext, why is the dialog box sometimes bigger than others.?
Is this a variable that can be fixed? Thanks.

try changing "mtextfixed" to 1.
Look in help to find exactly what it does.

Thanks, it may hold it a certain size, but it doesn't seem to set it to
the smaller dialog box.

mtextfixed at 1 seems to revert back to some stored size but not the
size of last use

It should be keeping your last mtext box size.
Launch your mtext command, and change the box size, and type some text, and exit the command.

Go back and do some mtext - is the mtext box not the same size as last time?

Mine holds size from the last time I changed the box size.

I may not be understanding your original question.

Thanks for checking it out, I think maybe the actual box size stays the
same but the size of the text within the editor (not in the actual
drawing) still changes, so that the line formating looks different
within the editor than it does in the drawing. It seems to only look
right within the editor if you're at the right zoom dist to the text.

Try holding "ctrl" and rolling the mouse wheel at the same time. This zooms within the MTEXT editor.

Word 'em up.

If I hold ctrl and roll the wheel it zooms the drawing with the mtext editor. I get the same results using the wheel by itself.
