Linetype Confusion

I am wondering if there is a menu item for drawing lines using the
AECCLAND.LIN file. If I go to the Lines/Curves menu and select Special
Lines, I can draw treelines, fencelines, etc. but they will draw in separate
pieces. Yet the Aeccland.lin file has all of these linetypes and uses the
Aeccland.shx file so they draw as one linetype. So, is there a menu item for
using the linetypes that do not end up in pieces?

The aeccland.lin file can be loaded into any dwg file (or template, hint,
hint) to have those linetypes available in the linetype dropdown and
linetype manager. You can then assign the lines to any layer or object. The
Special Lines command does not utilize the AECCLAND.lin file.

To load the file into a dwg go to the FORMAT menu & choose LINETYPES. Click
on the LOAD button and then the FILE button and browse to the AECCLAND.lin
file

Thanks John,
But why would AutoDesk include a nice linetype box for Special Lines, (which
actually has been there since the DCA days), and not include a menu item for
the Aeccland.lin file? I understand how to do all of that manually, I guess
what irks me is that I have to go searching through the support directory
and experimenting with files to see what they can do for me. I could have
been using this lin file YEARS ago if I knew it was there. They MUST have
created a menu selection somewhere for these linetypes,,, didn't they? Or
did they have a meeting and say, "Well, I think we should leave the old
archaic Special Lines alone, and just include the Aeccland.lin file in the
support directory as a treasure hunt item." Ummm ok. 0¿0
