Layers thawing and turning on at will

Just installed LDD 2006. Recently using LDD 3.

When working in paperspace, I noticed one of my viewports seemed out of scale. I then double clicked in that viewport and typed "view". When I picked the named view and "set current", some of my layers in paperspace froze or turned off and several of the layers that were turned off or frozen in the model space drawing turned on or thawed.

When I looked at other layout sheets, the layers were on throughout. I went to model space and turned the unwanted layers off again, saved the drawing, went back to viewport in layout, tried again, same thing, layers turn on in model space and some turn off in paperspace.

Very strange and frustrating.

The view dialog has a switch for saving the layer state with the view.
I think it defaults to "on".

If you need it to stop doing that, redo the view.

you can right-click on the view name and delete the layer info.
