I need to create a fly through and record it as a video file as some sort.
How do I do that. Is the autocad 3dfly command better than the terrain
command?

how much is your budget ?. the terrain fly through is ok, you can render it and such, create sld files. but if you really want to blow them away you can use 3d studio or something like that.

I have seen it once & I did it once, forgive me if this is brief.

Make a point or pline path for the camera location. Make a point or pline
path for the camera target. Assign elevations to these objects from surface
& move them up to camera height.

type anipath

Keep the frame rate as low as possible to get it looking good. A high frame
rate will slow you down.

When I try 3DFLY or anipath in basic AutoCAD my background doesn't come out. All I get is a black background.

Any idea what I can do to get a colored or sun/sky background when I record a fly thru?
