I formatted a old machine and reinstalled windows and LDD on it. Now that I gave it to the user
it is running slower then before? Nothing has changed except all the software has the latest patches.
The machine is a 800mhz with 512 ram and a geforce 2. Using Windows 2000SP4
Both SP1 and 2 for LDD installed also.
Anyways the system is a snail. The user went back to his 500mhz 256 ram system cuz it was faster.
Do you have all of the chipset drivers installed for your mainboard?
I had systems that were complete dogs until I installed the VIA 4in1 ide
drivers.
