cui files?

In the workspaces toolbar you where you can switch between Land desktop and civil design I'm experiencing a problem. Forgive me if I don't know the terminology, I'm not real savvy when it comes to the software stuff. The issue is I seem to not have any "cui" files. No matter what I set the workspace on it stays the same. I type "menu" and select civil and i loose half of cad!
It's probably something simple but without an on site tech person I'm afraid I'll make it worse if I mess with it.

Check the size of your Civildesign.cui file. If it's something like 39MB you
need to find the one that is about 374MB. Either in the UserDataCache or on
the installation disk. Replace the one that is too small.

I'm on my way out. If you still have problems I can give a better
description in the morning.

The main menu should be LAND.CUI, not CIVILDESIGN.CUI.
Allen's advise it right on. If CIVILDESIGN.CUI is corrupted
(happened a lot in 2006) - then you need to replace it.
