Cross Section points output to file

I am using LDD 2006. I have an alignment and cross sections of existing ground every 50' along alignment. I need a file listing the offsets and elevations of my cross sections. I have searched the previous postings, tried help menu, took out the books, etc, but can't find out how to do this. I have no templates, just existing ground. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't believe LDT will do this automatically. You could manually set
points on the surface in plan & create a point table.

Nancy it might be beneficial if you could share some more of the parameters
of this situation?

If you have no Templates, then I have to assume that you have no Final
Design at this point?

It would seem to me from that portion of your post, that someone needs to be
able to see where the Alignment's location will roughly be situated out in
the field.

And since you've stated that you already have the cross sections, then a
competent surveyor should be able to use that data to place the viewing
lath?

Thanks for the responses. The solution in the LDD civil menu:

Point Output > Tplate Points To File under the Cross Sections pull down menu. It allows you to select the Existing Grade, Finished Grade or Both.

The only thing I'm a tad stymied over is this from your Initial Post
Nancy...

snip>I have no templates, just existing ground.
So that item you related to us benefited you how?

But since I just gave it a go, may I now say thanks for providing the
opportunity for me to learn something new about LDT/CD.

After selecting that item you mentioned from the Cross Sections Menu, I just
hit Enter when the...
No vertical alignment defined.
Press any key to continue... (Enter)
Beginning station <100.00>:(Enter)

Ending station <359.60>:(Enter)

Only existing ground option available, continue [Yes/No] :(Enter)

Current point number <1>:(Enter)

Station = 1+00
Station = 1+25
Station = 1+50
Station = 1+75
Station = 2+00
Station = 2+25
Station = 2+50
Station = 2+75
Station = 3+00
Station = 3+25
Station = 3+50
Station = 3+59.60
...all appeared for the Alignment and Cross Sections>Existing Ground
sections I had Sample(d) From Surface I produced for my test - and the CPOs
also appeared!

Well done Nancy!

To clear up the initial post for Don - I was giving the XS data to a design engineer who is doing the design. So that is the reason I had no templates. The engineer wanted the file with only the offsets and elevations of the XS in a text file so he can import the file into a hydrology program that he is using. So the solution I sent along gave me (and him) just what I needed - existing ground offsets and elevations for the XS.

If it's HEC-RAS that he's using you might let him know that Hydrology>HEC2
Output has a couple of options for getting the data he's looking for into
HEC-RAS.

HEC2-Single and HEC2-Multiple to be precise.

I found that in using it last summer that there was a need to further edit
the channel in HEC-RAS to accommodate the LOB/ROB positioning.

I used a polyline I created that emulated the channel's curvature for this
process.

And I can also recall that some sections would need to be "narrowed" by
editing, so that the flow remained in the channel - for the calcs to produce
results properly.

Anyone who's used HEC-RAS can see the results I'm talking about here,
especially if they haven't narrowed the channel by the editing process I
mentioned above.
