Creating profiles in LDD2005 slow

I've been creating a bunch of profiles the last few days for some waterline work we're doing. I've noticed that when LDD draws the full profiles it take quite a bit longer than it used to. Even though I say no to deleting existing items on layers it does a lot of "scanning drawing" runs while drawing the profile. Any ideas on how to speed this up? In general, 2005 does seem to run a bit slower than its predecessors. Shawn Caldwell CAD Manager Anderson & Associates, Inc.

Every time you say "no" to deleting existing profile layers, a new copy of the entire EG profile (including the grid, labels etc.) is placed in the drawing and will cause your drawing file to bloat.
