converting SID files

Anyone know how to convert a SID file to a TIFF, JPG or BMP? the Sids look great in CAD because of the high res. but they aren't supported in impression. Do I need raster design?

If you had Raster Design, you would be able to bring in the sid files into
acad. The only other way, that I know is to bring the sids into ArcMap and
then export them out to jpg.
But you loose resolution when you do that.

There are some image converts out there if you google search. Anther way of
doing this is bring the SID image in with the data connect then export to
AutoCAD, this takes the image and converts it to pgn and Impression should
be able to read that.

The MrSid browser plug-in has a SaveAs function. Saves to TIFF (with TFW),
PNG & JPG. After the image is up just right click on the image and select
SaveAs.

The plug-in is free from their web site.

After you convert using GeoViewer, this short tutorial helped me get the JPEG into CAD correctly referenced.
