Cogo Points

Is it possible to use VBA in Autocad2000 to edit
the display properties of an AECC_POINT object? We have users that spend the
majority of their time in plain ACAD2000 and wish to do simple things like turn
off the point number or description, rotate, or resize the points, etc....
It becomes a pain for them to have to quit out of Autocad, Load LDD2, and create
a project that they may or may not need just to affect the display properties of
an Autocad entity. IF we are unable to control the looks of these points from
Autocad somehow, I guess we will end up using the softdesk point block as a
label, I just HATE the idea of duplicate entities. I know that they are not
exactly duplicate, one is the point, and one is the label but
still......

Hi Tim,

If you are on the same machine with LDD R2, simply start the AEC Enabled
AutoCAD from the Start menu.

If you are on another machine install the Object Enabler.

You can download it and all needed documentation.

I have the AEC object enabler installed. It lets me view the cogo object
from AutoCAD but I want to modify their appearance. For example, turn off
the point number and description and change the elevation to color 8.

Hi Tim,

AutoCAD allows you to view the Points.

The object enabler allows you to do a large number of things above and
beyond the standard AutoCAD things. Read the object enabler documentation
for details.
