I get the same error when I try to download. See the thread "Network License Error (Civil 2005 & Survey 2005)" from 2/25/2004 1:24 PM. If we are on network setas, that is the "unlocked" version right? I suddenly do not trust my understanding of what locked and unlocked means... I have a network license and my CD.MID file says I have the LOCKED version. I believe this all changed with the new Authorization procedure. I thought that locked meant hardware lock. Typically I thought that customers outside the US got locked versions and customers in the US got unlocked "Allen Jessup" |>I have a network license and my CD.MID file says I have the LOCKED version. |>I believe this all changed with the new Authorization procedure. |> |>Allen |> |>"James Maeding" wrote in message |>news:u6p9b0d5cqfsvc9e98nfg6khisjoldqp85@4ax.com... |>> If we are on network setas, that is the "unlocked" version right? |>> I suddenly do not trust my understanding of what locked and unlocked |>means... |>> |>> "Annaleis Hogan" |>> |>In a continued effort to quickly respond to your concerns and to improve |>> |>your experience as users, I wanted to let everyone know that the |>Autodesk |>> |>Civil Design and Autodesk Survey Service Pack 1 is now available for |>> |>download at: |>> |> |>> |>Autodesk Civil Design 2005 Service Pack 1 - |>> |>http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=DL4372793 |>> |> |>> |>Autodesk Survey 2005 Service Pack 1 - |>> |>http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=DL4372783 |>> |> |>> |>They both address a side-by-side installation issue while the Survey SP1 |>> |>incorporates some other fixes. Is civil design 2005 even out? I guess so, but this has to be some record for getting a service pack out right after the initial release? I believe the new authorization setup has changed that. Here is an excerpt from the LDT.MID file on the installation CD: Product Description: Land Desktop 2005 Locked CD 1 of 2 Note: It does say Locked. Same on my Civil Design install CD. I don't think this has been made clear enough in the documentation. It is mentioned in the ReadMe files but everyone is so used to having an Unlocked version I'm sure people are going to continue to download the Unlocked version of the patches. I have had it for a week at least. I personally like the idea of releasing software and providing updates often. It takes some effort to do the installs though... I'll ask my reseller when I get a chance. Wouldn't want to cut into my newsgroup time. ; ) "David Allen" <*@*.com> wrote in message news:t5bcb0trqgp7frsk17da0s7d3he8d86v0g@4ax.com... > so how do we purchase an unlocked version?? > > "Allen Jessup" > |>I believe the new authorization setup has changed that.
