BREAKLINES tutorial

I drew a 3d polyline using the "Terrain--> 3d Polylines-->Create by Elevation" command. I opened TME and created a new layer. I went through the process of right clicking on Breaklines and selecting define by polyline. I named my breakline FG and selected 3dpolyline objects, and did not delete exising... My command line says two found, I hit enter, it takes me back to TME but NO information regarding max/min elevation has been added. i was supposed to use that data for my sewer profile..What am I doing wrong? any help is so much appreciated..

Instead of adding 3D polylines in the TME, use just plain Polylines to add
the faults. That will work.
