Authorization Wizard

Is there a command to start this **** thing? I just installed ALD 2004 &
Civil Design 3D. I cannot start Civil without authorizing but I cannot get
the wizard to start.

Hi John:

Did you install Civil Design 2004 as well? It's required for Civil 3d to
run.

What serial number did you use for Civil 3d? You must use the serial number
for ALD 2004.

Did you install Civil Series 2004 or ALD 2004 + CD 2004?

Lastly, what's the error message that you get?

Sincerely,

Hi Drew,

I did not install Civil Design prior to trying Civil 3D. I am in the
installation process now......

The error I received said something to the effect of "Civil 3D must be
Authorized in order to run". Forgive me for not being able to quote the
error verbatim (cerebral constipation) but the error was most likely due to
the fact that Civil Design was not set up. I will post back if this doesn't
do the trick.

Thanks for responding,

John

I'd bet my lunch money that your problem is solved after installing CD. Let
us know what you think of C3D, I'm curious what others think.

Well that was the trick. like most of us I'm looking for instant
gratification & fail to go through the endless information in the Readme
files, release notes, etc.

James I will keep you posted but it will be sometime before I get to go
through all of the tutorials. I can tell you that I have been looking
forward to the advances we are all embarking on for sometime now. I feel
like I'm 7-yrs-old and it's Christmas morning 🙂

Did you install Civil Design or Civil3D? Different products entirely....
