My son also uses this PC to play memory match game on PBSKids.com. There is
no personal email or any other perssonal data on it to help protect him in
case he flips the thing on when I'm not watching. Parenting is my primary
focus in life right now. I want to produce somone better than myself 🙂

Moonlighting as well I see.

It's power training. 4-days, 4-classes per day. Excellent instructors.
Excellent price.

JohnM @ Home, unwinding after a hectic week. I got out a 10 car parking lot
expansion that is taking 4 plan sheets to get approved. I can get a house
built w/ a one sheet plan...Gotta luv g'vment.

Thanks, I remembered we had to do that to "migrate" S8 projects to R14 ( tip
from Microdesk in NH ...good service people).
Anyway, I must be showing my age going that far back

Happy to help. I have not built up the courage to ask for the Vegas trip -
sounds like alot of fun.

Hi John I used, in the past, RENAME block to "junk" and LDT will ignore it.

I would love to see it Jeff.

No locked layers.

Hi John,
Thanks for the explanation, it makes more sense now. I seem to recall seeing
this problem when the block was placed on a layer that got locked. Since it
was locked, no changes could be made to the attributes which caused the
types of issues you show.

If you really want it removed....... I've got a lisp somewhere that does
this. I'll go try to locate it while you check for locked layers.....

Here ya go, although I think Joe's idea is pretty clever.......

(defun c:kill-AdCadd_ZZ (/ ctr blks)
(vl-load-com)
(if (tblsearch "BLOCK" "ADCADD_ZZ")
(progn
(setq ctr 0)
(vlax-for blk (setq blks (vla-get-blocks
(vla-get-activedocument
(vlax-get-acad-object)
)
)
)
(vlax-for ent blk
(if (and (vlax-property-available-p ent 'hasattributes)
(eq (strcase (vla-get-name ent)) "ADCADD_ZZ")
)
(progn
(vla-delete ent)
(setq ctr (1+ ctr))
)
)
)
)
(vl-catch-all-apply '(lambda ()
(vla-delete (vla-item blks "ADCADD_ZZ"))
)
)
(princ
(strcat "\nDeleted " (itoa ctr) " instances of ADCADD_ZZ! ")
)
)
(princ "\nADCADD_ZZ not found in this drawing....")
)
(princ)

Thanks again Jeff.

I put it to good use on all of out templates.

Yes and No........ there are no invisible blocks such as this, but there are
a ton of Custom Objects, Styles and Dictionary entries that hold far more
data than Adcadd_ZZ ever thought of 😉

Is there a C3D component such as this also Jeff?

Joe,

You might want to check out the "Power Track" for Civil 3D. We tried to make
a series of classes (in order) that went start to finish and gave a nice
over view of Civil 3D.

Sign up now, the classes are starting to fill up!

You can select this block using the quick select tool. Select block
references with name=ADCADD_ZZ and it will select it and you can then delete
it. You will have to re-run the quick select for each layout. This may not
be elegant but it works. Quick select is a handy way to select ghost
objects.

I've had cases where ADCAD_ZZ had layers emdedded so they could not be
deleted. In some cases it really is needed to delete the corrupted block.
