3-d lines

When drawing a 3-d line under the "terrain-3d polyline" command, how do you make it snap to the node elevation so you do not have to hand enter it?

Use the ".G" to set it. Use .N or .P later. I cannot remember which. I
just try one or the other until I get back to a normal prompt.

Hey Gang;

Alternatively if the Nodes in question are Civil Point Objects change the
Insert to Actual Elevation, Re-Insert the Points to DWG, and get on with
life.

This is a completely off topic posting

Joe Bouza

I have a few questions for you regarding a past post about querying the pipewrks.mdb using excel. I'd like to find out how successful you were, and if so are you still doing it? As well as some other things

I think this was done by a former associate. However, we are about to gen some cut sheets and we'll give it another try and let you know. Could save time. Probably have to have a complete install of Excel from a fairly recent version.

What is your purpose in doing the excel query?

I am using the pipeworks .mdb file to build a structure table, via a query in excel. which we then use a 3rd party app. to import the table in into a dwg file. (we are still using '04) Make any sense?

Hey Will;

Have you tried to use the output Text files from Pipes for this purpose?

The Structure Table you're building provides what data?

The structure table provides information such as the Structure name.Rim, Inverts in (including laterals, Invert out pipe name out and a few other fields I actually add to the database. I prefer doing it this way since it provide a direct link to the pipeworks database and only requires a click of a toolbar to update any invert or rim changes.

Your reviewing agency must be a bear to work with. So much duplication of
data from the Profile. Unless it would be for those instances where a
Profile would be superfluous, i.e., Parking Lot stormwater system.

And I wasn't dissing your Table usage, that sounds like the way to go to me,
too.
