Hi Mike,
Sorry to hear that you are having trouble running Freestyle.
I'm wondering if before replacing HD on your laptop, were you able to use Freestyle on the laptop?
What OS are you running on your laptop?
Could you provide Freestyle install log files from your TEMP folder?
To obtain Freestyle installation log files.
1. Uninstall Freestyle
2. See if AutoCAD Freestyle folder is in
Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\ your_user_name\Application Data\Autodesk
Windows Vista or 7:
C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk
And if presents then rename it (e.g. old _AutoCAD Freestyle)
3. Type %TEMP% in the address bar of Windows explorer and hit Enter key to open TEMP folder.
4. Delete the content of TEMP folder
5. Start installing Freestyle and monitor TEMP folder for log files.
6. Please provide log files created by the installer.
Regards,
Avto
Avto,
Thank you for your quick response. The OS on the laptop is XP Pro 2002 SP3. Uninstalled Freestyle. Re-Installed & received same message. Log file is attached.
Thanks,
Mike
Hi Mike,
Based on the log file it appears that Freestyle was successfully installed.
Can you please try starting Freestyle with /nohardware switch?
Please refer to the post below how to set the switch.

Can you provide your system information. To obtain sys info on Windows XP:
1.Click Start > Run, type: winmsd and click OK
2.Highlight the ‘System Summary’ and then click on File and Export...
3.Then you can save as a .txt file
Regards,
I’m sorry Mike, but your laptop doesn’t meet minim system requirements for Freestyle.
•Microsoft® Windows® 7, Microsoft® Windows Vista® (SP 2 or higher), or Microsoft® Windows® XP (SP3) or higher
•32-bit or 64-bit system
•1 GB RAM
•1 GB free hard drive space
Regards,
Avto,
So are we just talking about RAM? Everything else appears up to spec. If it is the RAM can an increase in the Paging File work or must I simply purchase more RAM?
Thanks for all your help,
Mike
Hi Mike,
Definitely you need to increase your RAM to 1 G at least, and please also note that your graphics card ATI Mobility Radeon 9100 is not listed in AutoCAD Graphics Hardware List, thus Freestyle has not been tested on it. So your video card maybe an issue too.

Avto
Hi,
I have had the same problem trying to install AutoCAD 2010 on my computer. Could you have a look at my Sytem Report and tell me if it is my computer that is the problem. Cheers
Jordan
Hi, i fixed the same problem running the chkdisk.exe application and installing the last updates for windows . After restart, AutoCAD Freestyle run normally.
