selecting a dashed line

When I click on the empty space on a dashed line, it selects the line. How can I turn this off.

Hello @bbadesignstudio

Put the dashed line on it's very own layer. Then in Properties Manager, lock that layer.

Hi, Thanks,
No, I just want the empty spaces between any dotted line not to be selected
when I click on it or do a selection window.

Set the variable  LTGAPSELECTION to 0

Genius, Thanks,
It's fixed.

You're confusing LOCK with FREEZE.

When a layer is locked, you can't select objects on that layer. Even the locked layer's objects are visible, they're non-selectable.

Thanks,
I was looking for LTGapselection that should be set to zero.
It is resolved.

Some people wish that were true [you can Search for topics about it], but it's not.  You can't select them in editing commands that would require altering them, like Move/Copy/Rotate/Erase, but you can select them, such as to use as Trim or Extend boundaries, or to LIST.
