Hi,

There could be several problems:

1. Check which dictionary established as main in AutoCAD: type DCTMAIN at the command prompt and look what you get. It should be "enu" by default.

2. Check AutoCAD->Preferences->Application tab-> Support File Search Path: "/Applications/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2011/AutoCAD.app/Contents/Resources/Support" folder should be in it

3. This step depends on #1, if for example you have DCTMAIN="enu", then go to "/Applications/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2011/AutoCAD.app/Contents/Resources/Support" folder (go to Application folder, find AutoCAD.app in it, right-click on it and select "Show package contents", then navigate to "Contents/Resources/Support" folder)  and find enu.dct file in it, it should be there.

2. Check AutoCAD->Preferences->Application tab-> Support File Search Path: "/Applications/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2011/AutoCAD.app/Contents/Resources/Support" folder should be in it

Hi,

Could you clarify:
What exactly you can not find?
Can not open AutoCAD Preferences dialog or can not find Application tab in it?
And what is the main problem?
Do you get an alert about main dictionary?

Sorry, but you are at wrong Forum.
You are using PC version if AutoCAD, but here is AutoCAD for Mac Forum.

In Windows version of AutoCAD you have to look in Files tab (the first one) in AC Preferences.

If you checked DCTMAIN system variable and it is "enu" and if you cannot find end.dct file inside AutoCAD application folder (see the 2nd post in this topic - just substitute 2011 for 2015 as you have 2015 version), than you need to try to reinstall AutoCAD.

....or find end.dct file somewhere and place it to specified folder.

Another solution that you can try if you don't need spell checking:

Set DCTMAIN system variable to "none" - type at the Command prompt DCTMAIN, hit Return and than type point and hit Return again:

Command: DCTMAIN
Enter new value for DCTMAIN, or . for none <"enu">: .
Command:

This will set main spelling dictionary to "none".

hi kryalan,

what about DCTMAIN system variable?
Which value it has on your AutoCAD installation and what System language you have in OS X?
