ROTATING TEXT

I am trying to rotate text, (specifically the letter "s" for the switch symbol.)  I have tried in the properties pallette but it keeps changing back to zero rotation.  What steps do I need to take?

Hi,

>>>but it keeps changing back to zero rotation.

Could you illustrate somehow what do you want to get?

Maxim

On my system.

Go into the Annotation menu

Hold the mouse button / trackpad on the big A icon

This will give you the option to choose multi-line or single-line text

I selected single-line

Select the start point (where you want the text).

Type in the required text height.

Then it asks to specify the required rotation angle of text. I typed in 90.

Type what ever text you want.

Press return twice. And job done 🙂

Alternatively...

Choose multi-line text

Make the text box

Type what you want

Click anywhere on the screen to get out of typing mode

Click on Modify at the very top of the screen. This opens up a drop down menu

Click on Rotate. The mouse cursor now changes to Select Objects.

Click on your text. It now turns into a dashed line

Press return to accept the selection

Specify the basepoint. Aka where you want the rotation to pivot from

You can now type in a figure, 90 , 270 , etc etc. Or move the mouse/trackpad to rotate the text round and round.

Click and then the job is done 🙂
