Remove AutoCAD 2013 Macintosh?

Where is the remove AutoCAD application for a complete deletion of AutoCAD 2013 on a Macintosh? There is no such app in the AutoCAD 2013 folder nor is it inside the app package.

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

The "Remove AutoCAD.app" is inside "/Applications/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2013" folder:

Please, check it once again.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,
>>>it doesn't remove my auto cad
Why do you think so?
Can you see AutoCAD 2013.app in Applications folder after you run "Remove AutoCAD" application? Or you get some messages from "Remove AutoCAD" application and it states that it can not remove AutoCAD?

Hi,
I'm from Brazil, so i apologize for my bad english.
I run the "Remove AutoCAD" but it doesn't finish running.
The AutoCAD 2013.app still runs perfectly.
I left my mac on all night long and it didn't show even if the AutoCAD was
being deleted.
I installed the new version 2015, but the 2013 version still remains on my
computer.
It would be nice if you could resolve my problem.

Miguel.

Hi,
Before removing AutoCAD you must ensure that it is not running:
1. Start AutoCAD 2013, than use menu "AutoCAD 2013" -> "Quit AutoCAD"
2. Now start "Remove AutoCAD 2013" application from Applications/Autodesk/AutoCAD 2013 folder.
3. Now make screenshots of each step in removing AutoCAD until it finishes (or stop to work) and post them here please.

Hello,

I have this same problem. I have quit all open sessions of AutoCAD, yet the uninstaller program never completes the uninstall and hangs on this point of the process:

AutoCAD for Mac 2013 uninstaller fail.png

There is no way to click "Continue". The uninstaller package remains responsive as I can click "Back" and quit it, but cannot get it to complete the uinstall process. Know of any solutions?

Thank you!

Huh, oddly installing AutoCAD for Mac 2015 allowed me to successfully remove the 2013 version.

I have the same issue, the uninstaller does not want to quit. Have you been able to resolved it.

Thanks

So you can try to download AutoCAD 2015 trial version, install it, than uninstall AutoCAD 2013.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

If you have OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) on your Mac - have you true to install AutoCAD 2013 for Mac Service Pack 3 from here:
http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-for-mac/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autocad-2013-...

According to README for this Service Pack, which you can find here:
http://knowledge.autodesk.com/sites/default/files/file_downloads/AutoCAD_2013_and_AutoCAD_LT_2013_Fo...

SP3 installation resolves:

"General Service Pack Updates

The following general changes and improvements have been made:

Plot

  • Image corrupts in plot result.

Yosemite

  • Two fingers moving on trackpad trickers zoom instead of pan.
  • Uninstall hangs."

Since up to now I cant find an option to edit my last message, I can Confirm The solution:

  1. as mentioned earlier in this thread, installing autocad 2015 for mac does help. (trial version works great)
  2. following the installation, just say that you want to try the 30 days option.
  3. go to the autoad folder again, and look for the 2013 folder, open the "remove autocad icon", wait 2 seconds, the screen will come and go and then bum!, deleted.
  4. then I deleted the autocad2015 for mac trial, because lets face it you are here because you want to delete the thing.
  5. Celebrate and end the frustation.

Note: if you have problems with earlier or other versions theres a chance that this could work, give it a try.

Cheers.

Omar.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Eva,

This is knowing issue.
The only way to remove AutoCAD 2013 on Yosemite and El Capitan is to remove it manually:

Please just find the AutoCAD 2013 related files in the following folders and remove them.

· /Applications/Autodesk/

· ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/

· ~/Library/Preferences/

If you need further assistance, let me know here.
