Problem with printing pdfs

Hello! I have a Macbook Pro with Mavericks and Autocad 2014. I had the same problem a few month ago with snow leopard and Autocad 2013. I have done many pdfs before with autocad 2013, but suddenly it stop working. I though that installing these two new things I would solve my problem.

Well, I can not print pdfs from Autocad. It collapses at the begging of the process and the pdf is never made. I always have to restart the program because it blocks making the pdf. I have tried everything: with preview, save as pdf, export...

I hope someone could help me.

Thank you very much.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

Could you try:
- create new user account on your Mac
- login to it
- launch AutoCAD and try to create PDF

Hi Maxim!
That was pretty smart. I never though that was gonna work. Why can I can make pdfs if I create another user?

I still have an issue with that solution because all my documents and settings are in my last user. It is a big problem for me. Do you know if it is prossible to share settings and documents with another user? I know this is not an autocad issue, but you would help me a lot if you know something about that.

Thank you very much Maxim.

Hi,

I'm afraid you can not migrate all system settings to the new account because some iof this settings are "corrupted" and they are the case of difficulties with PDF export from AutoCAD, so you need to restore them manually.
As about moving documents: you can find a lot of articles about this process, here are some of them:

You can even delete an old user account from your Mac after you will migrate everything from it - of course if you new account was created as admin account:
