Problem while removing AutoCAD 2011 from a Mac OS X

Hello to all group members!

I have removed a trial version of Auto CAD 2011 from my mac with a help of RemoveAutocad.app .

Now I am trying to install a student version of the Auto CAD 2013 and get permanently a warning, which doesn´t let me  continue the installation process.

Auto CAD 2013 installation warning

I have tried already to search for old Auto CAD 2011 files and have deleted the files inside the FLEXnet folder, but nothing brought me the wished success.

If you could help me with a tip, I would be very grateful!

THX a lot in advance,

Anat

Hi Anat,

Could you please follow the steps below and let me know what is the output?

1. Open Terminal window > you can find it by typing terminal in spotlight

2. In Terminal window, input "find /Applications -name UPISpec"

Thanks,

Wei

Hi Anat,

"Mac OS X Ver. 10.5.8" - are you sure? If you have 10.5.8 on you Mac - you can not install AutoCAD 2013 on it (see System Requirements)

Yes. AutoCAD 2013 for Mac is not support OS X 10.5.x. You may need to upgrade the OS X before install AutoCAD.

But I am interested in the error message. It shows that AutoCAD installer detects an existing AutoCAD on the machine before verifying the OS. The scripts you ran confirms that there is no AutoCAD identification in the current OS. Do you have other hard disks/partitions/OS on the Mac that haveAutoCAD 2013 installed?

Thanks,
Wei

@ Maxim.

thanks for the hint. I will take care of it, after the solving my actual problem.

@Wei

... yes it is strange, because I have got only one  partition on my Mac Book.

I think for the moment the best way will be, to restore the system from my backup, upgrade to the current OS and try to install my Auto CAD 2013 again.

Thanks a lot anyway you guys for the answers.

Anat
