Is their any way you can open a second copy of AutoCAD for mac on the same machine?
I generally find this better when cutting and pasting between 2 drawings over dual screens as it is easier than toggling between drawings opened within a single copy of AutoCAD

Hi John,
One day, experimenting with the launch of AutoCAD from the Terminal, I found the ability to run multiple copies of AutoCAD simultaneously. However, it seems to me that this opportunity is not officially supported by Autodesk and you can use it only at your own risk.
Anyway.
1. Start Terminal.app, type the following command in it:
/Applications/Autodesk/AutoCAD\ 2011/AutoCAD.app/Contents/MacOS/AutoCAD
hit Return, AutoCAD starts as usual.
2. Open new session in Terminal and type command from previous step, hit Return again. Now you have second instance of AutoCAD running.
3. You can repeat step 2 if you want to start another one AutoCAD.
Three copies of AutoCAD running:

Thanks for that, it works but is a bit unstable. It makes it crash out even more than it does normally.
Hi John,
I warned you...
