New objects snap to wrong axis...

Hi Guys, I'm finding this really frustrating and I'm sure its a simple thing to fix but I'm stuck.

I have been using autocad on windows for years and recently moved to the mac version however when I am in 3D space if I select front view and draw a new circle it snaps the the X/Y axis and not the Z/X axis that I'm looking at! also rotate only appears to work on the wrong axis what is going on?

I turned of polar snapping and this seemed to fix the rotate problem but surely i dont have to draw new objects in top view then rotate them everytime? this wasn't a problem in acad 2008!

Thanks

Tim

Hi Tim,

If you use ViewCube to set orthogonal views, than you have to change UCS to be able to draw / edit something in plan of current view. Call UCS command with View option.

If you use menu (View -> 3d Views -> Front) UCS should automatically switch to current plan.

That's brilliant! Thank you, of course the cube wasn't in 2008 so the view
menu was how i changed views! Its a shame it doesn't work with the cube
aswell though!

Tim
