network sharing/ permissions problems with AutoCadLT for Mac:

.dwg files are locked and/or users in my network are denied access to any file opened and saved to my network. Is there a setting somewhere in AutoCadLT for Mac to prevent this from happening?

Network includes a minimac server, an iMac (AutoCadLT for Mac), MacBook Pro (AutoCadLT for Mac), and 1 PC with AutoCAD LT 2012 Someone PLEASE help!

Hi user,

Thank you for sending your feedback to Autodesk!

Can I ask several questions to help locate the issue?

1) What AutoCAD LT for Mac you are using?

2) Where is your shared file location? Mac side or Windows side?

  * Please notice that if you share your drawings on Mac side, please make sure the folder is shared in 'File Sharing' in System Preferences. Any files which are not under that folder but default under /Documents or /Downloads will have locking issue. You need to share that two folders manually.

Hi Leaf,

1)AutoCadLT for Mac 2015
2)Files are all stored on the mac mini server.

Thank you, I will give this info to my consultant and see if it fixes the issue.

Consultant tells me that your suggested solution doesn't help.

He said," The file sharing is being managed by Server.app. Full read write
permissions and all being shared by the same user."
