Hi,
Multiline Style is not a feature of AutoCAD for Mac, you can not create ML Styles in it.

Hi,

On Mac you can only use Standard multiline style or ML styles already created in drawing in PC version of AutoCAD. Before you start to draw ML you can change justification and scale of ML (options inside MLINE command). After you create Multilines in drawing you can edit them with command line version of MLEDIT command (join, add or delete vertex etc.)

I do not have access to a PC, currently working on AutoCAD 2016 for Mac, therefore I cannot create a MLINE style. Would any of you gentlemen be of a help and create one and post it online so I could download. I actually would need a couple of MLINE style, first with the elements 15 cm apart, second with the elements 20 cm apart. Is that even feasible? Thanks in advance

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Fabio,

For such simple multiline you don't need to create multiline styles, just use Scale option inside MLINE command and set it to 10 (or 20) when you need.

Anyway, you can find MLN file in the attachment with two multiline styles defined in it: 10cm and 20cm. You need to set Scale of multiline to 1 in order to get correct result when using these styles. You need to unzip MLN file before start to use it.

Should this become a new topic?

I really consider this issue should be fixed as soon as possible.

Hi Kristian,

What issue do you mean?
Are you about luck of ML Style editing functionality on Mac?
If yes, it is unlikely that "appeals" on this forum will help solve the problem, since almost all Forum participants are just as ordinary users as you.

The fact there are no Multiline styles, nor possibilities to create a new one other than importing from a file made in a PC?

AutoCAD for Mac default template has Standard multiline style.
If you want to create your custom ML style, you can create it by opening your drawing (or template) on PC and creating it there. After opening the DRAWING (template) on Mac all custom ML styles will be available on Mac.

I really appreciate the help, but do you think this is a good solution?

What if I don't have any PC close, I don't have the time, etc.. there are million reasons why I can't/won't use a PC

The software should provide equal possibilities for both operative systems

Thanks for the help anyways!

Let's just hope that till the next software update, this very important missing feature for us, mac users, will be fixed

It doesn't matter if anyone here thinks it is a good idea or not, we are end users like you and we cannot change the reality you seek. No one. That is just your choice today if you want MLINE features on your MAC.

If you want to take on the need to change, follow what was noted in reply #11 above https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-for-mac-forum/multiline-style/m-p/8540183#M33853
