Mtext Auto Correct

When creating a list using mtext, the text will sometimes be auto formatted and I'm wondering how to stop Autocad from doing that.

This is an example of what I am typing:

Cad Text.jpg

Where I typed FINISH, and hit return, the formatting of my tab settings changed, and then FINISI auto inserted, as if Autocad thought it was pre-completing the list for me.

How I can turn this off?

Thanks.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,
I have never seen such behavior of MTEXT in AutoCAD. Could you post your drawing (just a portion with text you posted here)?

Maxim

This has happened to me before is Autocad LT 2012 (for PC) and now also in the Mac version. Whenever I go to type these specification lists, it happens with the words FINISH and COLOUR. Not the other ones, which I think is extra wierd.

Yes, now I see this behavior. Never see it before, but it seems that AutoCAD consider FINISH: as the beginning of List (H: I: ....)

Turning off "Allow auto-list" help to prevent it:
