Missing xref

Hi. I recently bought a Macbook. Each time I open a drawing there seems to be some Xrefs missing yet when I open the same drawing on my dell laptop, the drawing is perfect. Any help is greatly aprecciated :smileyhappy: Attatched is one of the drawings I have been talking about. When I open it on my Mac the outline of the whole building is missing. its the same for several drawings.

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

In order to work with DWG files that have Xrefs attached on your Mac you need to bring all of then to your Mac from Dell laptop.

The easiest way is to create electronic transmittal package from your drawings with ETRANSMIT command (Menu File > eTransmit).

With this command you can create ZIP archive of your main drawing and all Xreferenced files.

After you create the archive, you can bring it to your Mac and un-ZIP them to one of your working folders.

Now if you will open main drawing all Xreferenced DWG files (and image files - if any) will be ready for editing.

The main idea is to put all files from eTransmit package to the one folder on your Mac.
