Layer State Manager missing from AutoCAD MAC 2013?

Architecture is one of the most creative fields out there. Many creative people in general are drawn to Apple products. So why on earth would Autodesk create a MAC version of AutoCAD that is basically useless to architects without Layer State Manager?  Layer management is such a basic necessity for working with drawings in AutoCAD, why was it left out? This certainly doesn't do Apple any favors as it only continues to prohibit architects from converting to MAC's - and it also doesn't serve Autodesk very well as I'm sure I'm not the only architect considering ditching AutoCAD for another program like ArchiCAD or sim. that is fully supported on MAC.

If someone has an answer on this that would be great. And PS - having to seek out a third party LISP routine to make layer manager work is ridiculous so lets save that bright idea for another posting.

This is a forum for AutoCAD Architecture, the program with that name that matches the forum name (Windows only): http:///www.autodesk.com/adt  It is designed for Architects.

This is not a forum for your chosen profession using some other generic drafting software program even if it is from Autodesk. These Autodesk forums are for specific Autodesk software, not end-user professions. If you want Professions only forums, visit the AIA website.

The hobbled generic non-industry-specific made-for-everyone-and-no-one MAC version of AutoCAD has it's own MAC forum here:

Is your question addressed to the community of users or to the developers of AutoCAD for Mac?
