Language Packs for Mac

Hello. We use AutoCad in school in Czech language, so I know the commands only in czech, but I can't find any language packs for Mac. Is there any way to get Czech translation to it?

Hi,

unfortunately AutoCAD for Mac is currently available only in English and French.

Sorry not to be able to give better news!

Best regards,

Silvia

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

Hi Sergey,

Do you mean Russian localization?

To say true, it seems that there are plans to release Language Packs for AutoCAD for Mac in near future. Maybe I'm not right, though.

I'am a student of Czech Technical Univesity, so I need Czech localization 🙂

Sorry about my mistake, but for Czech my answer would be the same.

Roumors say localizations will likely appear by 2017 release. Maybe a year earlier though.

sergey.yuzhakov, I guess you'll either learn English/French well enough or complete your education by then!

Hi,

is there a German language pack for LT 2015?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

Nothing changed since 2012 year about languages supported in AutoCAD for Mac user interface - only English and French, and there are no language packs for Mac version of AutoCAD.

Hi, I'm Italian.

The version of AutoCAD for Windows has the intalian language, why not take the package language made for Win and adapted to the Mac version?

You can, submit translation, by us user?

Thank you

Hi

Any updates regarding having AutoCAD LT Mac available in German? My wife would really appreciate it 😉

You will need the Windows version of AutoCAd/LT for that option if it's critical https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-lt/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autocad-lt-2017-l...

Thanks, yes I know.

But in the old posts it says there was something planned for 2017 - is this still ongoing or has it been dropped? I think there is still a business need to have the Mac versions also translated as it looks like there are many Mac users around (specially when it comes to CAD programs).

Hi Sarah

Well - AutoCAD LT for Mac is not available in German, there is no workaround for this issue. I still hope AutoDesk will deploy more language packages for the Mac version in the near future.

There is a workaround: install and run LT for Windows on the MAC and install the Language of your choice for it http://fieldguide.gizmodo.com/how-to-painlessly-run-windows-on-your-mac-1791584042

Thanks - As an IT specialist I'm aware of Boot Camp and all other kind of VM-Software. But calling that a workaround is a little bit too much - I want to be able to install the native LT version on a Mac. Running a VM will decrease my Mac performance.

Following up on the rumours mentioned in the thread, my question is much simpler: Is AutoDesk currently planning/developing an AutoCAD LT Mac version with language packages? But I therefore assume, only an AutoDesk employee is able to answer this. I'll take this up with AutoDesk support and post the answer here.

Correct: Autodesk, a publicly traded company, never pre-announces future plans. Maybe paid support staff can stick their neck outs for you in private over the phone in whispered hushed tones 🙂
