Importing other file types not working

Hi all,

I'm trying to import other files and can't get it working. I've tried .sat, .stp, .igs, and even .dxf and nothing works.

To import .sat I've been doing insert > ACIS file > open

For .stp, .ign and .dxf I've been doing FIle > import > open

When I do this, nothing happens.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Thank,

Ben

Hi Ben,

In AutoCAD for Mac you can only import .SAT files (via insert > ACIS file, or File > import), .stp and .igs doesn't supported. I don't have .SAT files, but I was able to open sample .SAT files from here:

http://forums.spatial.com/t5/3D-Interoperability/Examples-of-ACIS-SAT-files-with-rare-subtypes/td-p/...

To open DXF file you have to select File->Open and in File format drop-down list select .DXF filter.

Hi thanks for your reply,

Those sample .sat files worked fine. There must be a problem with the other file I was trying to import.
