Hanging when switching drawings

I find Autocad 2013 Mac hangs for a signficant time when I switch between open drawings. It is an annoying 10-20sec delay.

It happens on my iMac and MacBookPRo (both have ample RAM - 16GB, 3.1GHz/2.5GHz Core i7 processors respectively, late 2011 models).

Does anyone else get this issue?

Hi,

Do you have a lot of custom hatch patterns on Support Files search path?
I get the issue with delays when switching between opened drawings when I add a folder with many custom hatch pattern files (.PAT)

Thank you Maxim, that was the problem.

Actually I had only about 15 custom patterns, but quite complex hatches for stone walls. Enough to make hatching annoyingly slow, so I use the old hatch dialogue rather than the new one (Ie I go into hatch settings before changing the pattern type).

Does anyone know if there is, or will be, a fix for this bug? It is a big time waste, but I would still like to have access to my custom hatches on a regular basis.

Not sure about AC 2013, but in AC 2014 it has been fixed long ago.
