Eliminate View Cube zoom.

How can I make my AutoCAD 2014 Mac not to zoom out when I drag on View Cube everytime? For example, when you draw some 3D object and you want to change view angle only on particular object.

I found the way doing this: 1. Right click on "View Cube" > 2. "View Cube Settings" > 3. Uncheck "Zoom to extends".

P.S. And is there any way to change pivot point?

Hi,

You can try 3DORBIT command instead of VIEWCUBE. If you right-click while inside 3DORBIT command you can enable or disable Orbit Auto Target.

Thank you Maxim! Yes. I know it. But sometimes I loose coordinates and I have to zoom out to find object. I still want to know how to use View Cube properly. When I use 3DORBIT and I zoom after it, it goes back again previous position. It's really annoying.

Not sure I understand you correctly: who "goes back again previous position"?

The view angle changes again to it's previous position as it was before.

Seems I never had such issue.
To say true sometimes I have troubles with 3D Orbit, but this happens only when I zoom too close to some of the objects in complex scene.
Can you illustrate with screenshots the issue you have?
Do you use perspective or parallel view during using 3D Orbit?

I use parallel view.

When I start 3DORBIT:

After 3DORBIT I loose object (need zoom out), so you can see blank workspace:

Pivot Point is somewhere in wrong place. But I really have no idea how AutoCAD works.

When I use 3D Orbit, I always keep Auto Target enabled.
Sometimes I have such issue as you, but only when I zoom too deep into large 3D scene.

Yeah, you have right! I keep also Auto Target enabled.

Thank you for your time!
